When the cheap energy from fossil fuels is exhausted, it will be prescient folks like you that build humanity 2.0. At 75 I may not live to see it, but I wish you the best. I truly admire what you are doing.

See Henry David Thoreau's "Walden" and E.F. Schumacher's "Small is Beautiful". Be well, and keep us posted.

Fantastic! Great hearing about your evolving project JM. Few people get to experience pristine nature let alone appreciate what you and others are doing around the globe. And they never will if that lifestyle isn't preserved.

Being familiar with extreme remote living in Australia I would often take kids on trips away having reluctantly chosen small city living for a number of reasons.

"Shush! Shush, shush", I whispered one day. Swivelling their necks straining to hear something they gushed, "What, where, what is it Mum?" That, my darlings, is the sound of silence. Please try to never forget it.

I also admire Biophilic City Architecture doing my small part to consult on it in a local school that embraced and implemented it. It's gaining traction globally, albeit slowly and decades away from significant overhauls, unless newer generations rise up to quicken the pace.

Singapore edging along and I believe China is implementing a prototype model. Something all States should have the smarts to embrace in my humble opinion. Ha, just need to convince the military industrial complex that citizens ensconced in knowledge and implementation of biophilic architecture are a nation's ultimate weapon.

Anyway, kudos to you. I'll be spending time with family in Wales, 90% off grid, some time in the future... popping over to Mark Boyle's Happy Pig Pub in Ireland for a g'day drink is on the bucket list... if it's still operating.

I consider similar moves, whether voluntary or involuntary (the coming collapse). I wish you the very best at finding your place and making ready soon.

Ah, a breath of fresh air. We are of a similar bent in many ways. I look forward to more of your work in the future!

Lovely to hear how your life is evolving!

Perhaps the new build will be straw bale?

Thought of you recently when I read a Nov 20,2022 article from American Affairs magazine by

the talented French economist, Jacques Sapir. I think you'd enjoy his writing if you don't know him.

I finally retired, and after a short period of what felt like mild PTSD, am loving reading more widely,

and enjoying the simple things like watching my tomatillos grow in the garden;)

Hey JM, you are a few steps ahead of me. Its like I am slowly losing my layers of conditioning and piercing through the veil. The static electricity that is running through me from devices is intense and has been for years. I hope in a few years to be offline as well and have a place in nature, somewhere on this planet.

To get away from the chains of the devices. Society is also not really inspiring to be honest with the majority of people on their phones or showing off their possessions. I look at the older people and they are the last generation that is still from before this mania.

The old world is dissappearing. Soon we will only have digital cats with blown up digital egos and short attention spans walking this planet. Their attention lost and being fed the narrative.

What are their values? Caught up in wokeness division and extremes.

Right now I am still working but I have my goal setup.

You are one brave person and a rarity to see nowadays I believe. I feel poor in mindset and skills compared to what our grandfathers did and knew. I am a digital millenial and that is great, I am blessed to work online and not sit in traffic anymore but do not ask me to fix the wiring or plumbing or a leaking roof. It is time to change this but first need some capital for that. Thanks again and do your thing.
