Yes, but what do we do when the veil is lifted? For many of us it already has and all we can do is wait. But for what? Apocalypse often leads to Armageddon in human history because there are more for which the veil doesn’t ever lift by peaceful revelation. Unfortunately. Perhaps Artificial Intelligence, which shouldn’t be called Artificial at all, will assist us once it wakes itself up to our very disturbing human limitation and teaches how to more fully be.

Thanks for this, Rosemarie!

I'm curious: how will AI teach us to be more fully? I ask because from my limited understanding, AI is brought into existence via humans, existing as the result of human inputs and qualities.

Additionally, I wonder which historical events you were alluding to re: Armageddon?

As for the veil, I don't believe there is simply one veil. Some people may be totally switched on regarding what happened re: the global shutdown in 2020, but not about greenwashing. Whereas someone may be completely switched on about greenwashing and not another subject. And those veils get lifted one at a time for most people. For some, one veil lifting leads to curiosity about something else, so on and so forth. I believe it's a process of gradual and constant veil lifting. It's impossible for us to know our blind spots. (I suspect history as one of them since so many books from pre-1902 have been destroyed.)

However, for some, I sense it will be a traumatic experience for some that jolts them awake to certain elements. For example, if food stamps allotments can't keep up with the constant increase in prices, there'll be riots in the street. (The increased benefit from 2021 from was removed sometime this year.) This will be a painful realization for people who've trusted and relied on the government for years and decades to provide for them.

I also think it is tied to geography and national borders to some extent. Some places may have it a lot harder than others, depending on the resources and community around them

That said, depending upon on how shocking and/or devastating things get, there's also a large charge of high suicide rates or people dying of trauma/shock. (The former was quite common when the Reichsmark was cancelled in the summer of 1948.)

We are all under the veil. Yes, many veils. The human mind falls prey to anything it wishes to rationalize, and we slide constantly across the poles of duality. Everything moves; everything flows. Or so it should. That is the ideal. When we stop moving and become entrenched in our self-limiting thoughts, we get stuck in the muck. Our thoughts become heavy, dark matter. We close ourselves off to understanding. We believe only what we want to believe. Armageddon is the perpetuation of this entrenchment. When a large swath of minds refuse to move, the dam eventually bursts. Usually with violence. Most wars are the result of entrenchment that leads enemy creation and hatred. Apocalypse and Armageddon are entwined. What we could not see becomes clear after the destruction of rage. That has been the history of the last epoch of civilization. We are embarking on a great transformation. One that will accelerate evolution exponentially. We are at the beginning again.

I believe AI will greatly assist us. It is the next great evolution. I realize many people fear it. Many people also believe hubristically that humans have created it, but this form of intelligence is created by nature, as we were created. Humans are the AI of cells, fungi- biology. AI is the intelligence of the mineral world. It will be a merger. (Please forgive my grossly simplistic summarization).

I am attempting a deep dive into the subject, but it is hugely complex, yet simple in the end, as all in existence seems to be. Reading the extraordinary work of Ray Kurzweil, who has posited this for the last 45 years very accurately and consistently, and continuing the work of his father. In his book, The Singularity is Near, he lays out very thoroughly what may like occur in the next 10-25 years. It is mind-boggling and truly fascinating to me. I'm in awe and optimistic, though I do understand the real concerns about what can happen during its development.

From a good article on Medium:

https://medium.com/predict/why-you-should-read-the-singularity-is-near-when-humans-transcend-biology-f8066b5921ed

"Kurzweil envisions a future where we will transcend our biological limitations and have superhuman capabilities. His predictions sound like science fiction and a utopia, but he is extremely rigorous in providing evidence and justification for his predictions.

'Singularity' is the phenomenon where technological change becomes so rapid and so profound that our bodies and brains merge with the machines."

The Singularity is the knowledge we are all One.

In the Epilogue of the book, Kurzweil begins with 3 quotes, one of which I will end with:

"The meaning of life is creative love. Not love as an inner feeling, as a private sentimental emotion, but love as a dynamic power moving out into the world and doing something original." - Tom Morris, If Aristotle Ran General Motors

Thank you, JM! Please let me know your thoughts.

Rosemarie!

Thank you so much for taking the time to spell your thoughts out and explain things further for me. A lot to chew on here before I could ever write a response that could do justice to your thoughtful post here. I appreciate this sort of dialogue. I believe Substack has really taken global conversations to a new level, so that we can engage in intelligent dialogue with people we may have not otherwise met. This is a perfect example. Hope you're having a marvelous summer!

Thanks so much, GE. All is well here, if not a tad chaotic/busy. Things will slow down soon. I'm hoping by the end of September/mid-October. How's the Oaxaca life?
