I never watch any of these political “events” live, as they feel like real energy sucks, but after watching “highlights” from Joe Biden’s State of the (Dis)Union address, I thought it worth pointing something out. Something that shows how much the media is not filled with journalists, but propagandists.
In his speech, Joe Biden called to cap insulin at $35/month for all.
“Biden’s climate change and health care law, passed over unanimous Republican opposition, set a price of $35 a month for Medicare recipients,” NewJersey.com reports.
“During the Tuesday speech, Biden plans to tout his administration’s efforts to make health care more affordable, which included imposing a $35-per-month limit on insulin that took effect in January.
But that price cap, which was passed as part of last year’s Inflation Reduction Act, only applied to those beneficiaries covered by Medicare.”
While capping the price of insulin for all makes sense—the potential dangers of having Type 1 diabetes and not taking insulin are horrendous—the media gives credit to Joe Biden and Democrats (via the ironically named Inflation Reduction Act) for already having capped insulin for Medicare recipients at $35.
They also claim that it went into effect last month, when in reality…
Public service announcement: Insulin’s cap at $35 for Medicare recipients was finalized in May 2020 and went into effect in January 2021.

If the circumstances were reversed—the media did something similar to bolster Republicans—I’d still be pointing this out. Because, quite frankly, I think the media and most politicians—regardless of affiliation—are the virus the world should be concerned about. TPTB depend on all of us remaining ignorant. Being inundated with information. Putting in little to no effort to fact-check them. Keep your eyes peeled for more contradictions.
To my readers abroad: I’m sure this happens everywhere, but I live in the US, so it’s easier for me to notice with our media.

I know this isn't the point of the piece - forgive me - but I'd rather my president present the people with information on how to avoid diabetes naturally than some "plan" on how to pay for more drugs. And, if you happen to have diabetes already, non-drug approaches. We're always hacking at the branches, and never getting to the root of these issues. Alright I'm gonna stop writing now...I can feel that stroke coming on:). This stuff just gets in my craw.
