An announcement from Trump has the internet in a tizzy

Love him or hate him, what we think about Donald Trump matters little because many of the attacks on him over the years have proven themselves to be—in the words of Trump—part of a larger witch-hunt. And it seems that the witch-hunt may peak on Tuesday after Donald Trump made a massive announcement.

But before we dive into what could happen on Tuesday, let’s examine a couple of major sticking points. (We’re not going into the legally debunked Russian collusion scandal today.)

January 6th Was Political Theater

The recently released January 6th footage shows that what happened at Capitol Hill on that day in 2021 was nothing close to how politicians (Jan 6th committee)—both establishment Democrats and Republicans—and the media made it out to be. Not in the least. Donald Trump did not incite an insurrection. But you don’t have to believe me; you can see the January 6th footage and Donald Trump’s full speech that day outside the White House.

Tucker Carlson & Fox News were given access to view the security footage from January 6th at the Capitol. Many Democrats have argued against releasing that footage (41,000 hours of it), including media hacks the Washington DC establishment controls. (I’m looking at you Chuck Schumer!) If everything happened as they said it did, then one could assume they would be A-OK with releasing the footage.

Did you ever notice how nothing came from the January 6th Committee’s “work”?

Here are some links:

Tucker’s introduction to the footage. Important to listen to the process of reviewing the footage.

First exposure of originally unseen footage, including the truth about the “QAnon Shaman”:

A “deadly insurrection” it was not and US Capitol Police Officers were not murdered:

And if you think Trump incited violence and an insurrection, you can listen to his full speech and decide for yourself:

What a Real Insurrection Looks Like

If you want to know what an actual insurrection looks like, here is the UK’s Channel 4 reporting on Sri Lanka last summer as tens of thousands of military-aged men stormed the Presidential Palace.

And, as The Sun’s report shows, they set fire to the Prime Minister’s house:

WION gives you before and after footage:

Why Might the Events of Tuesday Spark a Civil War?

As reported by the Epoch Times, “Trump said that “illegal leaks” from the “corrupt & highly political” Manhattan DA’s office indicate that he will be arrested on Tuesday of next week,” due to the alleged misclassification of “hush money” paid to Stormy Daniels.

After much digging—I don’t have social network accounts—I managed to download a screenshot of Trump’s Truth Social post on the matter.

Remember the August 2022 FBI raid on Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence? Remember how the establishment politicians and media (both on the left and right) slandered Trump as a traitor and enemy of democracy?

Remember how no federal charges ever came from that raid?

Remember how Trump’s popularity surged after the raid?

Oh, wait. That’s right. If you’re from the US, you probably don’t because the Land of the Free’s censorship powers didn’t want you to know that. But foreign media had no problem reporting on it.

Here is The Times (of the UK):

Donald Trump’s Poll Ratings Surged After FBI Raid on Mar a Lago (Partial read & then requires subscription)

And Europe’s Sky News:

Donald Trump’s Social Media App Truth Social Surges in Popularity After FBI Raid His Home

Sky News said the social media app jumped 66 places to #15 in the Apple App Store the day after the raid.

So, if Trump’s theory that he’ll be arrested on Tuesday is correct, I suspect the results will be the same: his base will strengthen, and his popularity will grow.

Even Elon Musk seems to think so:

Here’s a direct link to these Tweets.

Whether Trump committed the alleged crime or not matters little at this point, even less so the crime for which they plan to indict him. The man survived two impeachments, the slandering re: the cooked-up Russian collusion, January 6th, the Mar-a-Lago raid, etc. And if he is arrested and indicted on Tuesday as he thinks, the image of Trump in cuffs will circle the world and people will line up behind him in solidarity, metaphorically speaking.

He will become more popular than he’s ever been. And the establishment will have shot itself in the foot, just as it did with sanctioning Russia and kicking it out of the SWIFT system (except for essential trade) last year. Putin’s popularity soared among non-Western countries and his own people, and the ruble rebounded after 2 weeks to become the #1 performing currency of 2022.

The real problem re: Trump is that if the public response is not peaceful, this arrest could lead to a civil war or riots on the scale of those we saw in 2020 (“mostly peaceful protests”).

And let’s hope this country doesn’t descend into violence because I suspect that is precisely what TBTP want. It would allow them to capitalize on all sorts of emergency powers to lock everyone down. Widespread violence would distract the public from the crumbling financial system.

UPDATE 7:40 PM EST: Elon Musk tweeted this meme 2 hours after I published this article. Thought it fitting.

See original tweet here

And then there’s the little nagging question in the back of my head: why does it feel like Trump is goading the District Attorney’s office in Manhattan into arresting him?

Why would he do that?

I’m not sure.

But it’s a thought I can’t get out of my mind, and my gut’s telling me there’s far more going on than meets the eye.

And if there’s one thing I’ve learned about Donald Trump over the last 8 years, it’s that everything he does is intentional, and it often doesn’t make sense until examined from the rearview mirror.

I think there's a lot of "Fooled by Randomness" going on all around, and the only common denominator is Spectacle.

Attributing anything other than selfish interest to anyone involved is antithetical to all American economics. The business of it all is being driven by a system of sucking the life out of everything and either blowing it up or dumping it in a landfill.

The banking failures are simply emergent phenomena of a suicidal system (Competitive Extraction).

With or without any of the actors in particular, the play is the same because it's a play.

Selling tickets is The Thing.

In the minds of Dems, Never-Trumpers and Uniparty noodges an arrest may appear to be a no lose proposition. I don't believe these people think Trump can win no matter what, so they'd love to see him on the ballot in 2024. They'd also love to see him crowd out DeSantis who in my view is a bigger threat to win in 2024 than is DJT. Finally, if elements of the Trump base see fit to riot for real this time, then as you point out, they'll waste no time to declare an emergency and establish total control.

Risky? You bet. 'in the interests of the American people? Not even close. But these people have shown that they're in it for themselves and their hangers-on and don't give a hoot in Hell for anyone else while treating the US Constitution as a speed bump on their way to power. May they gag on fire and brimstone for eternity.
